SCHOLARSHIP DETAILS

Description: MEXT scholarship is a fully funded famous scholarship program offered by the Japanese government. This scholarship is available to all countries that have diplomatic relations with Japan. For the selected candidates, the Japanese Government will cover all the expenses during the scholarship period. Applications for MEXT Japanese scholarships for 2022 are open now and interested candidates can apply by submitting the application form.

Duration of the Scholarship:

Non-regular students: The scholarship period for Japanese Government Scholarships offered for research students will last from April, September or October 2022 until the end of March 2024.

Regular students: Regardless of the date of arrival, the scholarship period shall be the necessary period for the completion of the respective regular course

Benefits of Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarships:

The MEXT Japanese scholarships are fully funded scholarships and international students can study in Japan for free.

  1. Students receiving the preparatory education and non-regular students: 143,000 yen (Approx. Rs.101,418) per month
  2.  Regular students enrolled in master’s or professional degree courses: 144,000 yen (Approx. Rs.102,127) per month
  3. Regular students enrolled in doctoral courses: 145,000 yen (Approx. Rs.102, 836) per month.
  4. Covers travel expenses
  5. Economy class round trip airfare travel expenses will be covered.

APPLICATION DETAILS

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Have the nationality of one of the countries that have a diplomatic relation with Japan.
  2. Must be under 35 years old.
  3. Must satisfy any one of the required conditions for admission to either a master’s or doctoral course at a Japanese graduate school in which they wish to first enroll.
  4. Must be willing to learn Japanese language.
  5. Must submit a health certificate in the prescribed format signed by a physician.

Assessment Process:

Once the students are shortlisted after the Preliminary Application round, only then they need to submit the application for along with the supporting documents as mentioned in the guidelines.

ABOUT JAPANESE GOVERNMENT MEXT SCHOLARSHIPS

The Japanese Government announced the fully funded MEXT Japanese scholarships for 2022 and candidates who plan to study in Japan can apply for this scholarship within the deadline. This is the largest scholarship program where the Japanese Government will cover all the expenses from tuition fees to airfare expenses.

Selected candidates can study in Japanese Universities where all types of study options are available.
